There has been a huge demand for cetified network engineers , RCDD's and competent structured cabling system installers mostly in the IT, Research, Defense, Education and Entertainment industries.

Ryson Group is offering a 5 day hands on training course in fiber optics - premises, OSP and FTTX aacredited internationally by the Fiber Optics Association (FOA).


Ryson Group also supplies Fiber Optic Equipment and Products.

   

OBJECTIVES

Certified Fiber Optic Installer Taining is designed for those who design, install or maintain fiber Optic Systems. It identifies you as an installer who demonstrates a practical knowledge of fiber optic theory, codes, standards and practices widely accepted in the Telecommunications industry today. In addition this training incorporates three days of hands-on training including Fiber Terminations, Cable preparations, Fusion splicing, OTDR operation and Optical Loss Testing. Learn skills which are applicable to all the functions required to safely and competently install fiber optics communications cabling.

COURSE OUTLINE HANDS-ON LABS

  • Build up and splice into a splice closure
  • Builda fan-out kit and break-out kit
  • Measure bi-directional loss and return loss for a fusion splice as per TIA/EIA 758
  • Perform a single fusion splice and ribbon fusion splice
  • Optical Loss test set basics
  • Calibrate an OTDR and perform traces
    Build a system, test and document results that pass standards for all losses and connector losses.
